Called by God to be a “Prayer and Word Warrior,” Minister Louis Rosenthal serves Westside Baptist Church as the Christian Education and Prayer Ministry Servant Leader. Louis accepted Jesus as His Lord and Savior at the age of 9 and was called by God to preach the Gospel in December 2004. Fully understanding that his calling to preach the word also included a calling to be trained, Louis enrolled in seminary at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in August 2005 and is in pursuit of his Master’s of Divinity.

Sunday Morning Bible Study has been a cornerstone of my spiritual growth since I was a child. I believe Sunday Morning Bible Study is the foundational ministry of a church that has been established in the name of Jesus the Christ. Sunday Morning Bible Study is the centerpiece of the Christian learning experience and I believe God has called me at this season of my life to lead a vibrant growing Sunday Morning Bible Study, discipleship training, spiritual development, and leadership training ministry that will train and equip its membership to live for Christ, serve mankind, and proclaim the Gospel to everyone in their sphere of influence. As Minister of Christian Education I covenant with Westside Baptist Church to present, and to equip others to present, the life-changing message of Jesus the Christ in a relevant manner so that He becomes apart of everyday life, helping people live and function as valuable creations of God.

God said “For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” As Minister of Prayer I covenant with Westside Baptist Church to help train and equip others to pray without ceasing both privately and corporately as we aim to be both a word centered church and a prayer saturated church. As we learn the word of God we can begin praying back God’s word and fully expect God to do everything we ask if we ask it according to His will while living obedient to His word.

Louis was born in Alexandria, Louisiana and graduated in 1986 from Northeast Louisiana University with a bachelor’s degree in Pre-Law (Legal Studies). Louis is married to Rosalind his best friend and soul mate since June 18, 1988 and they have two children Raelind and Lauryn.
